Alright. I'm sooo done with my kids being sick. They've had this virus that's going around and it keeps coming and going. REALLY!!! It needs to go away and STAY away! Enough of that. Slade has picked up this really cute thing form his Uncle Donnie. Tonight we were at Mom and Dad's cleaning out their basement (been storing stuff for like 5 years). Anyway, we are upstairs eating some dinner and Slade just looks at my dad (Papa) and kisses his two fingers and says, "What up Papa" as he moves his hand into the air over his head! I thought I was going to fall in the floor. It was the greatest thing ever! He's also started making these crazy faces where he rolls his eyes up and twists his mouth. It's hilarious. I'll have to try to take a picture or two and post them. My sweet Savannah did something cute today as well. We were outside on the back porch and Slade was saying something and it included "Savannah". She turned around like lightning and said, "That's the first time he's said that. Say it again." When Slade said her name again, she said, "He did it! He did it! Slade you get a piece of candy!" It was so great! She proceeded to take him inside and get him a Starburst. I loved it! So, that's what is going on with us right now. I hope to write again soon! I knew when I started this it was going to be a challenge for me to be consistent with it. I just have very little time to get on the computer for personal use. I'll try to make time and do better. I REALLY want to keep this up for our family more than anything else. I hope you all have a GREAT day and I will try!!! :O)

Honor! Let's do it!

This is what we do on Wednesday nights. One parent said it is a "high octane family worship experience". That pretty much says it all! This video is from our first ever God Time Live! I've had great responses so far. Keep us in your prayers as you read this blog or watch this video. We are still in the beginning stages of this process and need lots of actors and actresses and also greeters, etc. God is so pulling all of this together and moving in a crazy awesome way! We had about 180 people in our Large Group room on Wednesday. It was jam-packed. My own husband stood out in the hall with some other dads b/c it was so tight in there. We'll be moving to the Well (our other building on campus) so we can handle all of the people. It's a great problem to have but WOW it's a lot of work for our maintenance team. They are super awesome and have worked more than overtime to get everything ready for all of my crazy stuff. They are still painting classrooms and hanging black curtains and all kinds of stuff. They are fantastic and there is no way our staff could do anything without them. Our virtue for the month is Honor and this is reminding me (as I type) that I really need to do something for those guys. Even if it is baking them some cookies. They need to know how much I appreciate all of their hard work. As a matter of fact, I'm sure we all have people in our lives that we could show honor to. The definition we use for Honor is: Letting someone know you see how valuable they really are. Who do you have in your life that you could show honor to? A spouse, a parent, a boss? Let's all show honor this week and let me know who you chose to honor. It should be fun! Happy Honoring!!! :o)

Savannah's first day of Kindergarten

I know it has been a week since I told you I would let you know how Savannah's first day of school went but it has been ridiculously crazy lately. Anyway, as you can see from the pictures, she was sleeping soundly when it was time to wake up. She then decided to crawl under her covers and try to hide from us. Once we got her up, she put her clothes on by herself and Mommy and Daddy helped her fix her hair and brush her teeth. We all took her to school and walked her into her new classroom. She was doing pretty good. She did not want to give the song she had written to her teacher herself. She wanted Mommy to give it to Mrs. Pruett. She decided to be shy again. After giving it to her teacher, it was time for us to go and let Savannah stay and have her first day of school. I will admit, it wasn't the easiest thing in the world but I did pretty good. No crying (at the school). Actually, I was fine until I listened to my cell phone messages. I had received a message from a friend named Jay who called to tell Savannah to have an awesome day and to let me know he was already praying for me that morning. It's sooo cool to have awesome Christian friends that call to encourage you! Anyway, I go to pick her up that afternoon not knowing what to expect. Well...she almost ran to the car with the biggest grin on her face. She got in her carseat and I asked her how her day was. She said, "It was GREAT!!!" As a mom, there were no better words in the entire world at that moment. My baby had had a GREAT day on her first day of school. The world was perfect at that moment and I could actually breath! God is sooo good. He put her with the teacher that fit her perfectly and she already has a great new friend named Emmy. She has also started eating school food instead of us making her a lunch from home each day. She is big time! One thing that was REALLY funny was that I asked her about playing on the playground. She said, "No. I just sat in the shade b/c it was too hot!!!" She said her teacher told her she could go play b/c she wasn't in trouble and she told her no thank you. She was just fine in the shade. Only my Nannah! She is definitely like her mother when it comes to getting up in the morning. The second picture below should show how well she gets up. Pray that she continues to love going to school each day and that she will gain lots of friends in her class.
