Okay. So.....for those of you that don't know, I am renovating our Children's area at the church. Actually, we've got a construction company tearing out a wall, tearing out carpet, etc. but we are having to do a ton of the work ourselves. So I'm at the church with three dear friends until about 2am this morning painting houses on the walls. As we start to leave, we get out in the parking lot and one of the cars has been broken in to. Her window was busted out and her purse stolen. Her iod was left in the seat where her purse had also been. I felt horrible. I was mad, sad and guilty. If she hadn't been there painting with me, this never would have happened. Then I started to think about Satan and how he tries to come and steal and destroy. How he had used some person to do his work. God is moving and doing amazing things at our church and these sweet girls had spent hours in service for God and this ticked Satan off. His revenge was to steal from the most precious child of God as she is about to go off to college tomorrow to learn more about how to use the gifts and talents He has given her to glorify Him even more. It just made me so mad that Satan would take it out on her and not me. I honestly don't even know what else to say. I am just sad that there are people in our society that are so blinded by Satan and the things of this world that they choose to hurt others and think only of their own desires. I am thankful though that none of us walked out by ourselves and it makes me even more grateful for the precious friends who stayed all night with me so that I would not be alone. It could have really ended alot worse than it did. I know, I know, I should never be up at the church (or anywhere else) that late at night. You can forgo the comments about safety. Won't be doing it again :O) Alright, that's enough of the bad stuff. Savannah starts Kindergarten tomorrow morning and she is excited and nervous all bundled up in her belly. She even wrote a song for her teacher that she wants to give her in the morning. It was the most precious thing ever. She kept trying to think of words to sing and then finally ran and got a piece of paper and a pen. she started making up the song and asked how to write it. I would tell her how to spell one or two words from each sentence and then she handed it to me to write more. She sang about Slade playing with her and riding on the boat and seeing pretty fish and a lot of geese. She cannot wait to give it to Mrs. Pruett in the morning! Pray for us (me) in the morning and see how things went tomorrow. I'll write and post some pictures.
